Personal Security Alarms: Your First Line Of Defense

Personal Security Alarms

Personal security alarms are one of the fastest growing segments of self defense today. These alarms are so small and very convenient to carry and when needed they sound a loud siren that draws much needed attention to your situation. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand yet when sounded they produce an ear splitting 120 decibels.

Not every situation requires a lethal response. Personal alarms are your first line of defense in a dangerous situation. These devices cannot be used against you like other weapons. They don't require any formal training or permits and can be used by anyone no matter what their age is or their physical condition.

Studies have shown that when a person is attacked they are usually too traumatized to shout for help, thereby increasing their chances of being harmed. The last thing an attacker wants is to have attention drawn to them when they are committing a crime. When you sound your personal security alarm you can bet you'll get plenty of attention and the attacker will run off.

For added security some alarms come equipped with a flashing light when activated. This flashing L.E.D. light allows you to be located by someone in the dark so they can come to your aid. To prevent purse snatching you can keep the alarm in your purse and a strap on your wrist. Should your purse be grabbed an alarm will go off.

Carrying a personal security alarm gives a person a peace of mind when it comes to their safety. Just knowing that if something happens they will be prepared to act. Give one to a friend who may live in a rough neighborhood or to your girlfriend who works the late shift. Give one to your daughter who's going away to college and lives off campus. If your ever attacked by a vicious dog you know the ear splitting sound will send him running the other way with his tail between his legs.
